Formula One is the premiere sporting event in the auto-racing world. In 2008, Singapore hosted the first Formula One street night race, making history and further propelling Singapore as a world-class sports and lifestyle destination. The race had a unique position being the only night race and was held on a street circuit right in the city.
2017 marks the 10th year of Singapore Grand Prix Formula 1® night race. As part of this historic milestone, we are honored to be designing the 10th year anniversary commemorative car. Inspired by the elegance of a lion's mane, we designed the livery with a dash of red and gold, making it sophisticated and worthy of representing our nation's pride.
The 2017 car has a variety of new features:
- wider tyres of 305mm
- wider bodywork of 1800mm
- total weight of 728kg, up from 702kg
These make them faster and provide a more thrilling race action!
