The National Chinese Challenge will be running for the 8th consecutive year in 2021. Amidst the pandemic, the preliminary round of the competition will be held online while the finals will be a hybrid of online and physical competition in the format of a game show, where participants will be challenged with a broad scope of knowledge.

Jointly organised by SPH Media Trust Chinese Media Group and Nanyang Girls’ High School, the National Chinese Challenge aims to create an opportunity for students to gain a deeper understanding of the Chinese culture and also provides a platform for participants to display their language abilities and interact with other Chinese language learners.

We conceptualised a series of surreal, fun and vibrant key visuals for the 3 different phases that portray the competition to be an “adventure” in a digital world where an exciting journey is waiting to be explored.

Final deliverables included print ads, digital and social media banners.
